Creating Growing Strokes Animation on Text with After Effects

If you don't want to make this yourself, you can find the easy-to-use template here.

In this video tutorial, we will show you how to create a growing strokes animation on your neon trailer title using Adobe After Effects.

Start by applying a text layer and some fractal noise to your title sequence. Use the text presets to set the stroke of your title, then add a fill to your text to add some color.

Next, create duplicate layers of your text and then create masks from these texts. Once you are done with masking and outlining the text, apply the effect called "Stroke." You can untoggle the CD mask to focus on the text itself. Go to the beginning of your timeline, choose a path for your text, and decide how your text will unravel.
