Recreating Harry Potter's Invisibility Cloak with Premiere Pro

In this tutorial, we will show you how to recreate the invisibility cloak visual effect from Harry Potter using Adobe Premiere Pro. Follow these steps to achieve the magical effect.

**Step 1: Prepare Your Equipment**
Set up your camera on a tripod to ensure a steady shot. Use a green blanket, as it keys out very well, but other colors can work if green is not available. Ensure the background has minimal green objects to make keying easier.

**Step 2: Shoot Your Footage**
Record two videos: one with you under the green blanket and one clean plate shot without you in the frame. This clean plate will be used to create the invisible effect.

**Step 3: Import and Layer Your Footage**
Import your videos into a new sequence in Premiere Pro. Place the clean plate on the bottom layer and the footage with the green blanket on the top layer.

**Step 4: Freeze the Clean Plate**
Select the clean plate layer and freeze it at an exact timecode. This ensures a static background for the invisibility effect.

**Step 5: Apply Keying Effect**
Go to the top clip (the footage with the green blanket) and apply a keying effect. This will remove the green blanket, revealing the clean plate underneath and creating the invisibility effect.
